The energy transition doesn't end with renewable energy. Clean energy is becoming the foundation for an entirely new industrial economy. Clean energy is enabling critical minerals, battery manufacturing, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence and data centres.

These industries present new opportunities, and also potentially different pressures on land, water, culture and communities.

This session explores how First Nations communities are navigating this changing landscape. What opportunities are communities pursuing? Where are concerns emerging? What policies, partnerships and safeguards are needed to ensure the next wave of development strengthens communities rather than repeating the mistakes of the past?
