Description

Ambition alone doesn't build projects. Every clean energy opportunity - from rooftop solar and batteries to community microgrids and utility-scale renewable energy - requires a different mix of finance, partners and risk sharing.

Yet many First Nations projects struggle to access the right capital at the right time. Communities often face gaps between early ideas and feasibility, between feasibility and investment, or between securing an ownership opportunity and finding the capital to participate.

This session explores how different types of First Nations clean energy projects are financed, who is stepping up to invest, and where the gaps remain. Bringing together philanthropists, government agencies, impact investors, commercial financiers and First Nations project leaders, the discussion will unpack what it takes to move projects from concept to construction, and ultimately to long-term ownership and wealth creation.
