Change happens when people organise, build relationships and work together to shift power.

Over the past five years, First Nations communities have helped reshape Australia's clean energy transition. First Nations have influenced government policy, secured new pathways to ownership, strengthened community leadership, protected Country and changed the way industry thinks about engagement and partnership. These achievements were not inevitable; they happened because communities built power - through knowledge, leadership, organising, advocacy, negotiation, legal strategy, campaigning and collective action - and used that power strategically.

As the Symposium draws to a close, this session brings together leaders from Australia and overseas to reflect on the moments where collective action changed the course of events. Through stories of persistence, leadership and practical action, speakers will share where they exerted influence, what changed because of it, and the lessons they hope others will carry forward.

This closing conversation reminds us that the future of the clean energy transition is not something that happens to First Nations people, it is something we have the power to shape.
